PUTHAM TOSSES ONE HITTER
SUMMERSIDE - Andrew Putham pitched a complete game one hitter
and Brandon Horn scored once and drove in one as the Scarborough
Wolverines blanked Elmira Advance Millwright 4-0 in a battle
of Ontario teams Wednesday afternoon.
Ryan Jaynes (2-3, RBI), Rob Clayton (1-2, run scored, RBI triple)
and Cameron Haulk (1-3, run scored) led the attack.
Ben Widemans single in the fifth inning broke up the perfect
game Putham had been throwing to that point.
Dan Martin threw five innings allowing four runs on seven hits,
walking one and sitting down two. Ryan Shannon went an inning
in relief surrendering one hit.
Scarborough improved to 5-1 while Elmira dropped to 3-3.
