I find that distributed version control is being used by many for open source projects (usually required by the project) and for personal projects (usually less friction for the developer). However, I still see most larger companies using centralized version control such as ClearCase, CVS, MKS Integrity, Perforce (apparently used a lot in the gaming industry), Subversion, Microsoft TFS, Vault and VSS.
