I am not sure what the status is. I was excited to see it after watching a presentation by Jimmy Schementi at Alt.NET Seattle last year. IIRC, it was only him and maybe one other guy programming on the IronRuby and a whole team working on IronPython at the time. Jimmy left MS last summer. The source for the compilers is on GitHub <https://github.com/IronLanguages>.
