Most definitely case sensitive; it's looking for an *exact* match,
including any spurious spaces or punctuation. If the radio works for
receiving telemetry, then this is almost certainly the problem.

Yeah, the LED goes *out* when charging is complete, so it's kinda hard
to tell the difference between broken and charged. Our little
stand-along battery charger uses a fancier chip that has *two* leds, one
for 'charging' and the other for 'charged', so you can tell the
difference. And, if the battery is missing or broken, then *both* LEDs
go on.

The yellow charging LED is only on while the battery is charging if the
altimeter is off.
