Andrew,

Glad I could help. I was down to a week from a launch.
; and was verifying everything was good. When I booted my notebook /Win 7
P; it installed many updates. After that Altos would not run. I asked for
help; and Keith sent me the 1.4.2. two days before I left for the launch. I
was very relieved that it worked.

Subject: [altusmetrum] TeleDongle & Idle mode monitoring bug

First, thanks a ton for Altos 1.4.2. I can finally install it on my Windows
8.1 machine, which means I don't have to pull out my old laptop just for
this.

Related to the subject line, I had an interesting, if not a bit frustrating
observation tonight. I have a TeleDongle and Telemega.

I was playing around with my TeleMega on channel 9, trying to use the idle
mode monitoring. I've done this before successfully (but not on channel 9),
and wanted to test something unrelated out. I found the following trying to
connect to the TeleMega via the TeleDongle in idle
mode:
In Channels 0-6, everything works fantastically In Channels 7-9, the
TeleDongle is unable to connect to the TeleMega.
In flight mode, the TeleMega transmits on the frequency I would expect it to
normally.

Not a big deal as it's still useable assuming frequencies aren't too
crowded, but it's a bit odd I so I figured I'd email out about it. It also
seems that the time it takes the TeleDongle to connect to the TeleMega
increases as the channel # increases, but I didn't quantify it.
