FWIW, on my personal first two-stage project, the sustainer motor earned
serious frequent-flyer status... it wasn't until the fourth attempt that
I got it lit! Serious weather-cock with the TeleMega doing the right
thing and not lighting it the first time, then a booster motor CATO,
then an obscure actual bug found and fixed in our firmware... and
finally an awesome flight!

Yes.

The basic idea is that the complete set of conditions you set have to be
true for the channel to fire. We generally recommend using as few
conditions as possible to achieve the desired result. That helps you
from accidentally putting together a combination that just won't ever
fire.

For a simple 2-stage flight, I like to just use after first motor
burnout, within a tilt limit of vertical, and a fixed time after all
other conditions are met. I choose the time after playing with the
simulator and considering weather conditions. Feel free to try more
complex combinations, but if this is your first two-stage project and
you don't *need* more complexity, getting in a successful flight with a
simple config and then getting more complicated from there might be a
rewarding path?
