It's a SAMBA issue. I don't think it has to do with AMANDA. I have it
here too. My Windblows client's RTC is set in GMT, its Windblows also,
the Linux boxes' RTC is also GMT, but they operate on the "Berlin" time
zone. Mount a SAMBA filesystem on a Windblows machine and you will see
that the time difference is there for all the files. I didn't bother
much about it. Now that you ask, I see two solutions to this:
- Use the "time offset = x" command in smb.conf. This specifies the
number of minutes to add to the normal GMT to local time conversion
value. This lets SAMBA correctly synchronize the time.
- Make the SAMBA server a time server, using the NET TIME command in a
batch file in all the clients.
If you try and succeed, especially the first, tell me too, so I can get
rid of this too ;-)
