Note the following from sendsize*debug:

>runtar: error [must be invoked by operator]=0A=
So runtar insists on being run by user "operator", but apparantly that's
not what UID 505 maps to??? In fact, a later line in amandad*debug
implies 505 is user "amanda". If you want to use "amanda", you'll have
to "make distclean", then rerun ./configure with --with-user=amanda
and rebuild/reinstall.
