Here's what my /etc/amandapass looks like:
//ntserver/ntshare secretpassword NTDOMAIN
Can you use those parameters with smbclient (without AMANDA) to access your ntshare?
You should also look in /tmp/amanda/amcheck.debug and selfcheck.debug for more clues.

- technix.kn.ordix.de is the amanda tape server. here smbclient & amanda
is installed.
- //magnus/download is the nt client which should be dumped
- ordix-magnus is the dumptype which i want to use
smbclient is configured, �cause i can make a remote dump to another unix
machine. i�ve got only these "nt-dump-problem" i recognize in the
manuanl, that there have to be a etc/amandapass file. but does amanda
know about these file. if amanda wants to connect to magnus/download it
needs a password. should these password in the amandapass file ? i�ve
tried it, but it doesn�t help. perhaps that�s my fault. how does these
file have to look like ? can you give me an example ?!
