I ran a backup last night totalling approximately 45 GB and the
tape is only 35 GB. Now I have an autochanger and I wrote my
own changer script because I'm using a commerical version of
jukebox driver from HIARC. I basically stole part of code from
chg-chio and created chg-hiarcjb script so that it will interact
with HIARC's jb driver. I ran "amtape Daily show" and it worked
without any glitches. Now, the part I don't understand is why
didn't amanda change to next tape automatically if a full dump could
not be completed because it ran out of tape? Is there something you
can do to make it change to the next tape automatically and continue
the dump without any "fail" errors on the report?
Below is the report from last night backup. The failed partition is
approximately 28 GB in size that was not backed up at all.
Any inputs from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Josh
