You were right John. The file is under /etc/etc/dumpdates.

I started amrecover after I moved into the /etc directory.
Do I need to be atleast one direcotory higher than the directory and file
I plan to restore?




p.s. - i will not test
restore on db files like /etc/dumpdates again. Thank you.
