That's going to be a project. Even if you could just get rid of the
messages, which is not going to be easy (I took a quick look at the
code -- they come from pretty deep inside things), I'm not sure other
parts of Amanda (e.g. amreport) aren't going to catch on to the fact
that nothing made it to tape and start whining.
If the goal is to just get rid of this one error indication, I'd probably
do something equally evil and run the E-mail through a filter (e.g. via
procmail), search very, very carefully for this exact error situation
and then clean it up (Perl is your friend :-).
