Considering the limited number of tapes, I don't think getting errors
is an acceptable option for Denise :-).  And it certainly wasn't yet
another thing I wanted to bug her about :-).

It is, however, another reason this would be a tough project to
do correctly.  If it was limited to the case of "no tape online", it
might be doable, and that would fit OK with the folks that run this way
(holding disk only for some portion of the dumpcycle).  But you're right
that it's just one more reason it would have to be done very carefully
so real errors didn't get lost.
