John,
Is that tapecycle < 'reuse' lines? Or tapecycle <= 'reuse' lines?
I seem to have a problem related to <Date> field in the tapelist file. I
can't establish a rule which relates the date to the tapecycle or dumpcycle
yet, but I still have it failing to find a useable tape in the changer.
Amcheck <config>:
amcheck-server: slot 1: date 20001114 label 1283-000119 (active tape)
amcheck-server: slot 2: date 20001016 label 1283-000106 (no match)
amcheck-server: slot 3: date 20001121 label 1283-000116 (active tape)
amcheck-server: slot 4: date 20001107 label 1283-000118 (active tape)
amcheck-server: slot 5: date 20001106 label 1283-000117 (active tape)
amanda.conf:
dumpcycle 4 days # the number of days in the normal dump cycle
tapecycle 5 tapes # the number of tapes in rotation
Tapelist:
20001121 1283-000116 reuse
20001114 1283-000119 reuse
20001107 1283-000118 reuse
20001106 1283-000117 reuse
20001102 1283-000113 reuse
20001102 1283-000115 reuse
20001031 1283-000112 reuse
20001025 1283-000111 reuse
20001023 1283-000114 no-reuse
20001020 1283-000110 no-reuse
Todays date: 20001122.
What am I missing?
Tony Traylor.
