No, it doesn't mean that. "record no" says that doing the full dump
will not confuse the normal Amanda config and it's incremental schedule.
You could still set "index yes" and generate the index records needed
by amrecover. But make sure you put them in their own area, not mixed
in with the normal production ones.

No. Amanda will insist on that tape being mounted if it's the next one
to be used. If it's not available, use the no-reuse option of amadmin
to make it unavailable when Amanda wants it, then give Amanda a newly
amlabel'd tape (so it has tapecycle tapes available again).
