Have had amanda installed and successfully backing up Linux redhat boxes for
months now, just tried to include a Solaris 2.8 box and have run into a
problem that I can't seem to resolve. I want to back up the /usr directory
(it is not a partition). I get the following message:

/usr/ lev 0 FAILED [disk /usr/ offline on fusion1?]

It looks like AMANDA expects a partition rather than a directory, is there a
way around this?

In linux I have been able to get amanda to do specific directories, can I
not do that on a Solaris box?

Thanks in Advance,

Dave Stracher
