Hi All,

i've got a backup machine behind a Linux firewall/masquerading server
and would like to backup a client machine on the other side. When i
do the amcheck thing, i get a message like this:

Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
- --------------------------------
ERROR: www.ksk-re.de: [host mail.adesso.de: port 61918 not secure]
Client check: 3 hosts checked in 0.329 seconds, 1 problem found

And yes, i recompiled amanda with the "--with-portrange" options, but
i doubt if this is the solution, because the problem isn't the
communication "amanda server <-> amanda client", but it is "amanda
server <-> masquerading machine <-> amanda client". The amanda server
will open a connection on port 830-860 (my portrange) to the amanda
client on application level, but the masquerading server will break
this communication by opening a connection on a random tcphigh port
to the client which the client refuses...

Anyone out there having a solution for this? Maybe some tunneling
between client and server will do the job?

Thanks in advance,

Christoph Stoppe
