Hi,
I, like many others on this list, am having trouble with my tape changer. I am using a
sun storedge L280 on an ultra ten running solaris 7. The system half works with amanda
v2.4.1p1 set to use the drive as a gravity stacker. I say half way because I can't
load or unload tapes with amtape. I use the front panel on the changer to load the
first tape and then I run "amtape Daily slot current" and things seem to work from
there.
I decided it was time to try controlling the changer with chg-scsi. My problem is that
I don't have /dev/rg on my machine. I tried compiling sst from v2.4.2 but I can't get
it to attach. I'v read the posts from Paul and numerous others but I just don't get
it. Can someone with a similar config give me a nudge?
