I found a variation on this script floating around in the archives, but
notced there was a bug in this . (so part of this is (c) the anonymous
contributor ;) )
Then I hacked it up a bit to do what I wanted it to do.
basically what it does is:
you feed the script the name of the (non-rewinding) tape device in which
you have stuck an amanda tape, and this script will give you a short Table
of ocntents (which disk, which dump level) od the tape.
If you use the amnada lbl-print option you already have all this info on
your tapes ;)
safe the attached as a perl script,
chmod -x it
run amandatoc.pl /dev/rmt/0hn
(or whatever your tapedevice is)
