Diogo,

One of the advantages of AMANDA is that she automatically selects the backup
level that is needed based on the schedule you specify. If you really need
to tweak backup levels, the amadmin command can do this, with the various
'force' options. Check out the amadmin man page for more details.

Also, there is a separate list, [EMAIL PROTECTED], for support and
configuration questions. You will usually get a faster response to questions
there. [EMAIL PROTECTED] is used by developers and bug hunters.

I have posted this reply to that list, so we can continue the thread there
if necessary.

Subject: To force backups in different levels

 Hello everybody,

Does anybody know if there is a way in amanda to force
backups in different levels whenever i want ?? ie. let's imagine that, for
some reason, i need to make a level 2 backup on a specific machine in my
network, how can i do it ??
I heard of some patch (hack) that would allow me to do it,
but unfortunately i was unable to find it. Does anyone has it and can send
it to me ??

Thank you so much for your time.
