I have a patch for this (compliments of testing by Ben Elliston) that
I'll get into 2.4.2p1, which should be out in a day or two.
Note that it contains a bit of a hack (the #define of HAVE_SETMNTENT)
because it is too hard to send out ./configure patches. The real release
will do the right thing.
