I moved to gnutar 1.13.19 iso 1.13, which didn';t help at all.
amanda still needs well over 3 hours to do an estimate ;(.
(well, fair enough, she has to go over a 100G+ directory , but even so, it's
taking as long to do the estimate as it takes to actually back up.
Ah well, such is life ...
