Folks--

I know that this topic has probably been rehashed dozens of times.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find a solution yet from either the FAQ or
the list archives.

The amdump works just fine, but amrecover is failing:

# pwd
/tmp
# amrecover Daily
AMRECOVER Version 2.4.2. Contacting server on sumter ...
220 sumter AMANDA index server (2.4.2) ready.
200 Access OK
Setting restore date to today (2001-01-26)
200 Working date set to 2001-01-26.
200 Config set to Daily.
200 Dump host set to sumter.
$CWD '/tmp' is on disk '/tmp' mounted at '/tmp'.
200 Disk set to /tmp.
No index records for disk for specified date
If date correct, notify system administrator
Invalid directory - /tmp
amrecover> setdate ---20
200 Working date set to 2001-01-20.
No index records for cwd on new date
Setting cwd to mount point
amrecover> cd amanda
Invalid directory - amanda
amrecover>

However, I did perform a dump on that date, and the index was
created:

# ls /var/adm/amanda/DailySet1/index/sumter/_tmp
20010120_0.gz

So I know that I am asking for an index in the config file. Hmm,
hostname problem then?

amanda% amadmin Daily disklist sumter /tmp
line 21:
     host sumter:
         interface LOCAL
     disk /tmp:

# hostname
sumter

# nslookup sumter
Using /etc/hosts on: sumter
looking up FILES

This is going no where. So I look at amindexd.debug after a failed
amrecover:

HUH? "/" is an invalid directory? Anyone have a clue for me?
