Damaged tape in a rotation

My 8mm tape drive decided to eat the 2nd tape in my tape cycle.  Unless
the drive eats another tape, i'm assuming it was the tape's fault.  Now,
what I wanted to do was to invalidate the backups on that tape, but I
can't find a way to do that.  amadmin no-reuse" looks like it is more
for archiving than for invaliating a tape.  Any suggestions?
