Use the messages, Luke.

The message says device /dev/sg4 isn't read/writable by the user
you've configured as backup user.  Use chown / chmod as needed.

The message says Amanda needs a directory that doesn't exist or is not
writable.  Create it (and its parent directories if necessary) or 
chown/chmod it.

You probably won't be 100% after you do those things.  But you'll
be closer.
