Hi,
recently one of my amanda tapes has been damaged and I had to
remove it from my backup cycle with "amrmtape".
Now I labeled a new one (with the same label) and want to continue in my
backup schedule.
Question: Do I have to edit all /etc/{aman,dump}dates files on my clients
by hand to remove the datestamps which refer to the broken tape?
Or will amanda recognize that the most recent dates in amandates/dumpdates
are invalid? Does it matter at all?
Thanks in advance
Albrecht
