FUll Backups and Holding Disk

Greetings,

The information I have been able to read on this has been ambiguous, so my
question is:

Will amanda use the holding disk for temp storage of full backups?

One of my hosts is painfully slow at feeding data, and I hate to have my
DAT running on and off for 8 hours rather than just streaming the data to
tape in less than 1/4 of that time.
