First, don't use "localhost" in disklist.  That will eventually bite you.
Use the fully qualified host name of the client (even though it's really
the server).

Next, look at /tmp/amanda/sendsize*debug.  That's usually where problems
like this show more symptoms.  Post the file here if you don't see what
it's not happy with.
