Having just chased this one down I hope this helps

Look to make sure you are setting ALL THE VALUES in the mtx-zd-config file 
I found I had to set all the values 

firstslot=2
lastslot=6
cleanslot=1
AUTOCLEAN=0
autocleancount=20000
havereader=0
offlinestatus=0
OFFLINE_BEFORE_UNLOAD=1

If you leave one out a variable does not get set at all so the test's using
that variable fail.
