Hm,
I dealed with an Onstream last year. At this time there were no scsi support
in the kernel and I couldnt use it with amanda. As far I can seen in kernel
2.2.19 is the support for the onstream. About the dont ejecting,
I cant remeber exactly but the guy can use the mt command to try to get the
tape out. Please read the manpage of mt.
