OK, I'm having bigger problems. I've been going through some tapes and
using dd to read from some of them is generating the aforementioned errors
as well.
AMANDA doesn't complain at all when _writing_ to them and no kernel
errors are reported.
I'm going to recheck all my cables, reflash the firmware, and try the spare
drive (which has been upgraded as well).
Any other suggestions?
