I'm sure I have everything set up correctly. I use the command: netstat -a | grep -i amanda and get the following output: udp 0 0 *:amanda *:* So that means it is listening on the port like it is supposed to. I have another machine that I just finished backing up and it had this exact same output to the same command. When I run amcheck on the server for this client however, it gives me the timeout message and says "Host Down?" Also, if I run the netstat command afterwards, it will not be listening to the port anymore and I have to restart the xinetd daemon to get it to listen on that port. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
