Here's all I've got:

On the client:

/etc/passwd: amanda:x:600:20:Back Amanda:/usr/people/amanda:/bin/bash
/usr/people/amanda/.amandahosts:
server amanda
server.ourdomain amanda
server's ip address amanda
/etc/inetd.conf:

amanda dgram udp wait amanda /usr/local/amanda/libexec/amandad amandad

/etc/services:
amanda 10080/udp # amanda backup program
amandaidx 10082/tcp
amidxtape 10083/tcp

IRix version 6.5
Amanda version 2.4.2p2

On, the server the amanda user is the same as on the client, and the
client's ip address is in /etc/hosts.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Jenn
