where DailySet1 is the configuration and DailySet1- is the name of the tape
to truly start over:
amanda@ishi:~> cd DailySet1/
amanda@ishi:~/DailySet1> rm *; rm -rf curinfo/* index/* oldlog/*
you should empty your /tmp/amanda and holding disk area too.
