I've been trying to backup a large filesystem on a client with no success. I am now trying to back it up with GNU tar, exclude lists and the use of two tapes per run. The filesystem is about 30GB and I have a DLT 7000 drive with DLT IV tapes which natively do 35GB. The message I received today after the run is a bit confusing, part of it makes it seem as if the backup failed and part makes it seem as if the backup succeeded.
