Hi, I am using mtx on Solaris and chg-zd-mtx. Your problem looks kinof familiar. Last October, this the list helped me modify chg-zd-mtx. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amanda-users/message/31347 has the chg-zd-mtx that I'm using, maybe it will help you.
