I have been using amanda 2.4.2p2 on RedHat 7.3 with a Sony TSL-9000L with the chg-multi glue script. My devices I was using are:
/dev/nst0 and /dev/st0 All was well except for the problem of forgetting to mount a tape from the magazine before a run or something like that. So I decided to try the chg-zd-mtx script. After installing mtx and using it from the command line, at least doing mtx -f /dev/sg1 load and unload command all was well. Still unsure of what my no-rewind device will be. I reconfigured amanda and then attempted to do an amcheck and get the following: amcheck-server: could not get changer info: badly formed result from changer: "/usr/local/libexec/chg-zd-mtx: [: too many arguments" Probably wrong device, but not sure. I have set the following in amanda.conf: tapedev "/dev/sg1" rawtapedev "/dev/null" changerfile "/usr/local/etc/amanda/daily/changer" changerdev "/dev/sg1" I think I have seen this error mentioned before but I have lost the solution. Thanks in advance
