I'm not ignoring you on this.  Just real, real, busy with a ton of
other things.  I have it on my list to find out why/if --disable-libtool
doesn't do what you would think it would do.

Short thoughts:

  * OSF based systems have, without a doubt, the most broken piece of
    crap, junk version of sh/ksh known to humanity.  How they can get
    away with this is totally beyond me.

  * You could probably spend the rest of your life trying to make
    libtool (and other Amanda tools) deal with what OSF laughingly
    calls a shell.  It would not be a life well spent.

  * One possibility that comes to mind is to install bash and make it
    be used for all the shell scripts within Amanda, or at least libtool.
    I *think* (total guesswork here) that you'd just hand edit the first
    line of ./libtool.

  * As I take a quick glance at the code, it looks like we should be
    using @SHELL@ in all the */*.sh.in scripts, but I'm not sure the
    configure.in code is quite right (needs work, or at least study).
