hello all, can anyone throw some light on this problem.
1) i don't have a domain-controller , i only have workgroup, on that workgroup i enabled my samba. now problem is that i am only able to see the samba user's files and nothing more. i have checked with samba configuration and all that still i coudn't find any tip for my rescue. 2) now comming to amanda, i don't have tape drive down here, can i enable any one of my partition as back-up drive? 3) and about "NIS" i thru at server end and at client end , when i am trying to start the service i am encountering the following error /etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind start it says that Binding to NIS Domain ......OK Listening to NIS DOMAIN SERVER .........
