Well, I think I've got it all ironed out.  I have to set up the cron 
stuff now, and see how it runs over the weekend.  I'm running Red Hat 
7.2, and I installed AMANDA from the rpm packages that came with the 
system (which BTW, are 2.4.2p2).

My biggest problem was that, and I found this to be true of any 
distrobution, when you install from a package someone else created the 
docs are never where you expect them to be.  At least, they're not where 
they would be had one unpacked, compiled and installed <whatever> that way.

I fixed it by downloading the sources, and extracting the docs from the 
tar ball in to /usr/share/doc.  That's where most of the other docs 
were.  However, if I have any other problems, rest assured I'll ask here.
