I have a FastStor DLT1 changer with Quantum DLT7000.
The drive somehow forgot that there's a tape loaded.
dobz:~ # mtx -f /dev/sg0 status
Storage Changer /dev/sg0:1 Drives, 7 Slots ( 0 Import/Export )
Data Transfer Element 0:Empty
Storage Element 1:Empty
Storage Element 2:Full
Storage Element 3:Full
Storage Element 4:Full
Storage Element 5:Full
Storage Element 6:Full
Storage Element 7:Empty
The drive has a tape loaded from slot 1. Also there's no tape in slot 6
(which it has believed for a while there is, but this is not related to
this event, but help here would also be appreciated)
If I go:
dobz:~ # mtx -f /dev/sg0 first
source Element Address 1 is Empty
Or:
amanda@dobz:~ > amtape dobz update
amtape: scanning all 4 slots in tape-changer rack:
amtape: could not load slot 4: mtx: Request Sense: 70 00 09 00 00 00 00
0E 00 02 00 00 FF 3B 00 00 01 00 00 00
Or:
dobz:~ # mtx -f /dev/sg0 eject
mtx:eject failed
Or:
dobz:~ # mtx -f /dev/sg0 unload

Address 82 is Empty
Please help me out...
