See the docs on modules.conf. I'd show mine, but its not applicable since I always build that stuff into the kernel. Since you have the compiler and such installed, its not that much work, but will take some study. Since you are running the stock 7.3 kernel, you really should run up2date and let it install the latest 2.4.18-4 version however.
