Those are two more reasons, and BTW using localhost will come back to haunt you, use the FQDN of the host please, with yet a third being there isn't an amanda file in /etc/xinetd.d to tell xinetd how to run the daemons. This is pretty well described in the docs. Theres a whole directory full of them, except for the xinetd.d stuff.
