I believe that one can use regex expressions to break it up 
alphabeticly, like one entry to cover [a*-c*], the next for [d*-g*] 
etc, but I've no idea of the exact syntax required as I've never 
done that.  And of course, that implys using tar, settle for no 
less than 1.13-25 in the version number.

That was my finding also.  Pretty gui doesn't always do the job IMO.
It certainly isn't, at least as of a year ago, an 'intuitive' thing 
to run.
