I am not asking it to reuse tapes. There are tapes in the system that has nothing written on them.
Tapelist ------------------- 20030917 daily25 reuse 20030916 daily24 reuse 20030916 daily23 reuse 20030916 daily22 reuse 20030916 daily21 reuse 20030916 daily20 reuse 20030915 daily19 reuse 0 daily30 reuse 0 daily29 reuse 0 daily28 reuse 0 daily27 reuse 0 daily26 reuse ----------------------------- You can see the next tape daily26 has not been used. When I start amdump it will load the daily26 tape and write to it. It will fill it up and not switch to the next tape daily27. In the disklist, each line item is less than 25 gigs. The tapes hold 35 gigs. I can't see how the tapecycle is the cause? There's your problem. Amanda won't start re-using tapes until it's used tapecycle tapes. So, it won't go back to daily01 until it's gone up through daily25. -- Joshua Baker-LePain Department of Biomedical Engineering Duke University
