I cannot label tapes because it tells me the slot is
empty, even though it isn't. The tapes are already
labelled though, there is a full tapelist. It's like
it just won't recognize any tapes that are in the
drives, and I can't find much. I did find this error
pertaining to the scsi bus the drives are on:

WARNING: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1 (glm1):
     got SCSI bus reset
WARNING: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1 (glm1):
Resetting scsi bus, got unsupported extended
message from (4,0)

Resetting scsi bus, got unsupported extended
message from (4,1)
WARNING: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1 (glm1):

WARNING: /[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1 (glm1):
Resetting scsi bus, got unsupported extended
message from (4,2)

Anyone have an idea what that refers to? This backup
setup has been working for some time, although on
occassion I have seen problems with writing to all 4
drives. I guess I could have a problem with the
cables. And I'm wondering if the (4,0) (4,1) (4,2)
part of this message refer to /dev/rmt/0ubn, 1ubn, and
2ubn.

But if I have a cable problem, would amanda still show
the drives being empty instead of no drives at all?

mt command doesn't work though, so maybe this says
something.

twdbs001:/export/home/amanda$ mt -f
/devices/[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1/[EMAIL PROTECTED],0:ubn rewind
/devices/[EMAIL PROTECTED],4000/[EMAIL PROTECTED],1/[EMAIL PROTECTED],0:ubn: No such
device or address

Thanks,
Adam
