I'm having a similar problem someone reported earlier. I have a subdirectory I'm tying to archive with gtar from the client "arnold". It failed, so I subdivided it into smaller pieces. For example, I have about 10 user directories, so I have a config for the directories a-b, c-d, e-g, h-m, and n-z. Here's what I get:
> -----Original Message----- > FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY: > arnold /z/workareas-eg lev 0 FAILED [mesg read: Connection reset by peer] > arnold /z/workareas-cd lev 0 FAILED [cannot read header: got 0 instead of 32768] > arnold /z/workareas-ab lev 0 FAILED [cannot read header: got 0 instead of 32768] > arnold /z/workareas-eg lev 0 FAILED [too many dumper retry] > arnold /z/workareas-eg lev 0 FAILED [cannot read header: got 0 instead of 32768] > arnold /z/workareas-cd lev 0 FAILED [too many dumper retry] > arnold /z/workareas-cd lev 0 FAILED [cannot read header: got 0 instead of 32768] > arnold /z/workareas-ab lev 0 FAILED [too many dumper retry] > arnold /z/workareas-ab lev 0 FAILED [cannot read header: got 0 instead of 32768] > And in the dump summary, I get this: > DUMP SUMMARY: > arnold -rkareas-ab 0 FAILED > arnold -rkareas-cd 0 FAILED > arnold -rkareas-eg 0 N/A 242 -- N/A N/A N/A N/A PARTIAL > arnold -rkareas-hm 0 242 32 13.3 25:58 158.9 0:0311598.7 > arnold -rkareas-nz 0 106 22 21.1 10:58 164.6 0:0211269.6 > > (brought to you by Amanda version 2.5.0b1-20051205) Any idea why I get two of the sub sections, partail of one, and nothing from the other two?
