What is 'mtx -f <changer> status' telling you?
Did you read/try the debug instructions at the top
of the chg-zd-mtx script?

I had to run the mtx command as root. The changer is working fine with
amanda. amverify is working right also, only amverifyrun is not working, as
if the script cannot determine the current slot in the tape changer.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# mtx -f /dev/changer-lto status
