Our tape drive is having issues so our backups are going to our staging disk at
the moment. I have need to restore from them, but my amrecover session is
failing:

Does anyone know possible causes of this error message when restoring from
holding disk files? We're using Amanda 2.5.0p2, which I realize is quite old,
but I am trying to avoid upgrading and having even more moving parts at the
moment, unless I know that this is a known bug which an upgrade would resolve.
