Done, thanks. This run seems to be 'progressing' in that I've noted some cpu
hogging, but I don't see any great amount of cpu actually being used in the
htop display.

It has done the flush is all I see so far in /amandatapes/Dailys/data/:
[r...@coyote amanda]# ls -l /amandatapes/Dailys/data/
total 295408
-rw------- 1 amanda amanda 32768 2009-12-20 13:16 00000.Dailys-3
-rw------- 1 amanda amanda 26732934 2009-12-20 13:16 00001.coyote._home.0
-rw------- 1 amanda amanda 43008 2009-12-20 13:16

-rw-r--r-- 1 amanda amanda 102400 2009-11-18 02:19 configuration.tar
-rw-r--r-- 1 amanda amanda 275271680 2009-11-18 02:19 indices.tar

Seems like its had enough time to write about half of it by now. But
I need to get ready & see if my GMC can get to the local winery by 6pm EST.
The tv stations Christmas party is there, and since they still consider me
part of the operation, I need to go plow about a foot of snow in 4wd &
show up for the obligatory 2 drinks (sugar limit), dinner (watch my sugar
now!) and the gift exchange.

Amanda can muddle along w/o me for a while I believe. ;-)
